Budget Cuts launches on PlayStation VR May 15th

Games development studio Neat Corp has announced a release date for the highly anticipated Budget Cuts arrival on the PlayStation VR platform. The stealth virtual reality game will be arriving on the Sony PlayStation in a few months time on May 15th 2020. The game will be available to purchase from both the PlayStation Store and at physical retailers thanks to a boxed release from Perp Games. Half-Life 2 Jurassic Park mod now available

Jurassic Park fans will be pleased to know that the Half-Life 2 mod has now been completely finished and is now available to download and install and play from start to finish. The project was put on hold several years and with the help of “old and new team members we are near the end of our journey” the team responsible for creating.

While playing the Jurassic Life Lord created specifically for the Half-Life 2 game, you take on the role of game warden Robert Muldoon who was hired to keep order in the quite extraordinary Jurassic Park, located on Isla Nublar. “Our story is not strictly based on the movies or novels but rather our own tale with inspiration gathered from the world of Jurassic Park. This is a non-profit fan-game that is not intended for commercial use. Jurassic Park and it’s characters and designs are properties owned by Universal Studios. This game was made from the fans for the fans. If you wish to be a part of it and speed up the development please let us know.”

PlayStation 5 will support majority of the 4,000+ PlayStation 4 games confirms Sony

After releasing specifications for the new PlayStation 5 games console last week, Sony has this week was more details about the backward compatibility you can expect from the next generation console which will be launching later this year. Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will support a majority of the 4,000+ PlayStation 4 games currently available.

“A quick update on backward compatibility – With all of the amazing games in PS4’s catalog, we’ve devoted significant efforts to enable our fans to play their favorites on PS5. We believe that the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be playable on PS5.

We’re expecting backward compatible titles will run at a boosted frequency on PS5 so that they can benefit from higher or more stable frame rates and potentially higher resolutions. We’re currently evaluating games on a title-by-title basis to spot any issues that need adjustment from the original software developers.

In his presentation, Mark Cerny provided a snapshot into the Top 100 most-played PS4 titles, demonstrating how well our backward compatibility efforts are going. We have already tested hundreds of titles and are preparing to test thousands more as we move toward launch. Tabletop role-playing gamers may be interested to know the unique reusable dungeon map scrolls called Infinidungeon, has raised over $500,000 thanks to over 4,000 backers. The edges are available from $49 for a single scroll with a map of your choice or a bank grid allowing you to design your own dungeon crawl. “You cannot be a Dungeon Master without a dungeon. Gone are the days of giant print outs and drawing and redrawing dungeons and dungeon rooms. Welcome to the Infinidungeon. 200 feet of pure dungeon crawling madness right at your table! Thanks to backers reaching a stretch goal set by the project’s creators, all scrolls widths of all schools has been increased to 24″ wide offering 200 square feet of scroll per Infinidungeon. Only 53 hours remain on the project.

Apple has released a new game to Apple Arcade called Spyder and now we get to have a look at this cool new game in a new video from Apple.

Spyder is cool looking game, you play as a mechanical spider who is also a spy and you have to solve a range of puzzles throughout the game.

In this 1960s throwback spy thriller, you’re a mechanical spider named Agent 8 on a mission to save the world. Use two-finger touch or a controller to shoot web, walk on walls, and foil the plans of a super-evil organization called S.I.N.

Apple Arcade is available for a monthly subscription of $4.99 and it gives you access to more than 100 games.

DOOM Eternal officially launches

The highly anticipated DOOM Eternal game is now available to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 PC systems, check out the review created by the team over at Rock Paper Shotgun. DOOM Eternal launched today March 20th and has been developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks.

The storyline of the latest game in the franchise is set two years after the events of 2016’s DOOM game. Earth has been overrun by demonic forces, wiping out 60% of the planet’s population. The Doom Slayer, having previously been teleported to an unknown location, returns to Earth with a new arsenal of weapons to save the human race from annihilation.

GameStop to sell Doom Eternal a day early due to Coronavirus

Companies are doing their best to navigate the coronavirus’ global crisis, seeking ways to remain profitable. Discord has relaxed its user limits on streaming. Uber Eats has waived delivery fees for independent restaurants. And now GameStop will be selling Doom Eternal a day early in a bid to reduce crowding at its stores. This should ease the number of people you will have to be in contact with in order to get it.

The game was due for release on March 20th, which is the same day as Animal Crossing: New Horizons drops. In a tweet, GameStop said it would be selling Doom a day early as a “safety precaution” to adhere to social distancing guidelines. The move is good news for Doom fans, although many are questioning why the store is open at all during this precarious time. Well, like we said, companies have to make money, but they are also trying to help people avoid problems at the same time.

At least Doom fans will have the chance to get the game a day early and they should not have to face extra crowds to do so. That’s not a bad compromise for anyone willing to get the game.
